Brandon Wong

Founder · Head Coach

A professional hockey player with 25+ years of hockey knowledge and experience, including nine years professionally as a player. Brandon continues to take his love for the sport and hopes to share it and positively influence others through a unique athlete-centered style of coaching.

Clint Colebourn

Clint Colebourn

Skating & Skills

Current head coach of the U13 T1 Victoria Kings, previously with West Van Academy and an assistant coach at North Shore Winter Club. Clint grew up in Vancouver playing minor hockey at North Shore Winter Club and Burnaby Winter Club, and Major Midget for the Vancouver NW Giants, where he was selected by the Kamloops Blazers in the WHL draft. He brings passion and energy to the BW Hockey community.

Garry Nunn

Garry Nunn

Pro Skills Coach

A Victoria native who grew up playing minor hockey for the JDF Orcas and Victoria Racquet Club. At 14 he jumped to Junior B and won a championship with the Victoria Cougars. From 2005–2010 he played in the BCHL (Victoria Salsa/Grizzlies) and the WHL (Vancouver Giants, Edmonton Oil Kings), then won the 2011 Kelly Cup with the Alaska Aces (ECHL) and played AHL with Providence and San Antonio. In Europe he won a scoring title with Frisk Asker (Norway) and set a personal best of 90 points in 61 games with EHC Olten before signing with EHC Visp in the Swiss League, where he plays today.

Daeman Fraser

Based in Victoria, Daeman is the Head Scout / Assistant Coach for the Nanaimo Buccaneers (VIJHL). He played for the JDF Minor Hockey Association growing up before junior hockey with the 100 Mile House Wranglers (KIJHL) and the Nanaimo Buccaneers. He is passionate about assisting and mentoring younger players in reaching their dreams and goals in the sport.

Ryan Hays

Skills / Head Coach

Current head coach of the U11 A Victoria Admirals. Ryan has coached and run skills sessions across Greater Victoria for over eight years — with the Victoria Admirals (U18, U15, U13, U11), BW Hockey, Victoria Hockey School, and independently. Beyond coaching, he is an officer in the Royal Canadian Navy.

Charlotte Swanton

Charlotte Swanton

Coach

Charlotte has been passionate about hockey since she first stepped on the ice at five years old. She has played for Sooke Boys, Reign Girls, and Shawnigan Lake School, and now competes at the USPORTS level with Trinity Western University in the Canada West division. She began coaching younger athletes at 16 and found a deep love for mentorship — sharing the lessons she's learned to help the next generation build their skills, confidence, and passion for the game.

Justin Brand

Justin grew up playing hockey in Ontario, most recently with the University of Toronto Varsity Blues in USPORTS before moving into skills and coaching. He played Jr. A with the Whitby Fury (OJHL), where he was named an All-Star and served as captain in 2016–2017. At U of T he was team captain and a three-time USPORTS Academic All-Canadian. He is currently in his second year as head coach of the Victoria Admirals U13 T1 team.

Marcus Beesley

Marcus Beesley

Goalie Specialist

A full-time goalie coach based in Calgary from 2013–2025 as Senior Head Instructor for World Pro Goaltending. Marcus was goalie coach for the U18AAA Airdrie CFR Bisons (2014–2025) — who reached the 2015 Telus Cup, finishing 4th in Canada — and for the AJHL's Drumheller Dragons for four seasons. He has taught 19,000+ private goalie sessions plus hundreds of camps and clinics, developing goalies to the Junior A, WHL, college, and pro levels, including WHL Goaltender of the Year and World Junior Ian Scott. With past roles coaching the Olds Grizzlys (AJHL), scouting for WHL teams, and leading with Hockey Alberta, he brings deep experience, patience, and positive energy. He now resides in Nanaimo, BC.
