Community Cares
The Community Cares Initiative relieves the financial burden of playing hockey. Each year, a nominated player receives a $500 equipment voucher from Kirby's Source for Sports plus full compensation for the BW Hockey Summer Skills Academy — roughly $1,000 in total value. Players and families are nominated by teammates, coaches, or local-association reps; nominees must be registered with a Vancouver Island Minor Hockey Association.
What's Included
The recipient receives a $500 equipment voucher from Kirby's Source for Sports to get fully outfitted for the season, plus a fully covered spot in the BW Hockey Summer Skills Academy — and ongoing mentorship from our coaching staff throughout the program.
How To Nominate
Players are nominated by teammates, coaches, or local minor-hockey-association reps. The nominee must be registered with a Vancouver Island Minor Hockey Association. Fill out the short form below — or email info@bwhockey.com. Recipients are contacted near the end of May.
