Return to Wildcats — Returning Players
The Return to Wildcats Fall/Winter Development Program is designed to provide current Wildcats players with a structured training environment focused on skill development, hockey IQ, and continued growth throughout the fall and winter season. This program serves as the foundation for player development and preparation for future Wildcats opportunities, ensuring athletes continue to build on the standards, habits, and skills expected within the Wildcats program.
Eligibility
All returning Wildcats players are automatically eligible and are not required to attend identification tryouts. Participation is mandatory for all returning players who wish to be considered for placement on a Wildcats Spring Team, which helps ensure players remain committed to their development and are adequately prepared for spring competition.
Program Focus
- Individual skill development
- Power skating and edge work, puck control and shooting techniques, small-area games and hockey IQ development
- Position-specific training
- Compete & battle intensity
- Playing without the puck, angling, body contact
- Competitive practice environments and preparation for spring team opportunities
